چکیده
Balloon pumps are employed to assist cardiac function in cases of acute myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmias, cardiogenic shock, unstable angina, refractory failure, or surgery. Counterpulsation, through increasing the diastolic pressure and reducing systolic pressure, increases coronary perfusion assists heart pump more blood at each contraction. An expanding-contracting balloon, modifying Poiseuille flow a straight circular duct, is examined this study. The balloon spheroid-shaped, with length its minor axis, which perpendicular direction, changing time following sinusoidal law. inlet volume rate steady while that fluid leaves duct varies due presence balloon. For pulsation frequency 60 pulses/min, difference across pulsating exhibits significant phase lagging behind outflow waveform. outlet depends on radius oscillation amplitude computed for range such. field around spheroid, periodically stream presented, exact pattern gradual downstream intensification alongside spheroid body also identified.

Analysis of Flow of Nanofluid through a Porous Channel with Expanding or Contracting Walls using Chebychev Spectral Collocation Method
In this work, we applied Chebychev spectral collocation method to analyze the unsteady two-dimensional flow of nanofluid in a porous channel through expanding or contracting walls with large injection or suction. The solutions are used to study the effects of various parameters on the flow of the nanofluid in the porous channel. From the analysis, It was established that increase in expansion r...
متن کاملA Numerical Study of Drop Motion in Poiseuille Flow
The cross-stream migration of a deformable drop in two-dimensional Poiseuille flow at finite Reynolds numbers is studied numerically. In the limit of a small Reynolds number (<1), the motion of the drop depends strongly on the ratio of the viscosity of the drop fluid to the viscosity of the suspending fluid. For a viscosity ratio 0.125, the drop moves toward the centre of the channe while for t...

متن کاملTwo-Dimensional Flow Analysis of Nanofluid through a Porous Channel with Suction/Injection at Slowly Expanding/Contracting Walls using Variation of Parameter Method
In this work, variation of parameter method is applied to study two-dimensional flow of nanofluid in a porous channel through slowly deforming walls with suction or injection. The results of the developed approximate analytical solution using the variation of parameter method is verified with the results of numerical solution using fourth-order Runge-Kutta method coupled with shooing techniques...
متن کاملExpanding and contracting optic-flow patterns and vection.
When stationary observers view an optic-flow pattern, visually induced self-motion perception (vection) and a form of motion sickness known as simulator sickness (SS), can result. Previous results suggest that an expanding flow pattern leads to more SS than a contracting pattern. Sensory conflict, a possible cause of SS, may be more salient when an expanding optic-flow pattern is viewed. An exp...
